Where To Buy Termidor

Chances are that the ants in your house actually have their nest outside where they travel back and forth for food and water. So, since they live outside, it makes sense to control them there. Termidor SC can be applied above ground to the exterior foundation walls of your house, creating a treated area of protection for excellent ant control.

Termidor is most often used as an in-ground treatment, where it is mixed and then poured in a trench around a house to create a barrier against future termite infestations. However, the product can also be applied to live termite infestations as a liquid spray, liquid dilution or as a foam application.

Step 3: For exterior surface applications, apply Termidor SC asa low pressure, coarse spray. Spray up to an 18-inch wide bandaround common insect entry points, such as around doors, windows, vents, where plumbing penetrates the walls, where wires enter thestructure, and any other openings. Also treat the perimeter of thehouse or structure by spraying where the ground meets thefoundation, spraying one foot up the structure and one footout.

Termidor Residual Termiticide and Insecticide is a contact insecticide that can be applied in many situations. To be effective, a termite must come into contact with the Termidor. It will unknowingly transfer it back to the colony on its body, including every termite it contacts on the way, thus infecting termites that have not even been near the Termidor-treated zone. If you believe termites are active behind the bricks and are confident that you can apply the insecticide where they are active, then there isn't any reason why you can't use the Termidor in those areas. Remember that you may not be covering the track they are using, so no contact will be made. You may need to include other control methods such as Trelona Termite Baits that will attract the termites in your control strategy.

It is recommended that your home is inspected annually by a pest management professional to prevent the spread of termites. This not only identifies any termite activity in the structure, but will also ensure that any conducive conditions are identified so they can be rectified to reduce the risk of termites spreading to your home. To find out more, visit termidor.com.au.

Termites may be detected if termite mudding and/or damaged timber is observed in a home. If termites are detected or you suspect you have termites, leave the area undisturbed until a professional termite technician can inspect. To receive a termite inspection from an Accredited Termidor Applicator, visit termidor.com.au.

The best termite treatment, from chemicals to bait, varies depending on the termite infestation. A professional termite technician can advise on whether chemicals, bait or otherwise is the best type of treatment. The best treatment can differ depending on the building construction type and termite pressure. To find out which is the best treatment for your home, visit termidor.com.au.

Termites typically come from the ground or nearby plants, shrubs, or trees. There are dozens of termite species in the United States and each one acts uniquely and has distinct features, although they look similar. Most varieties live underground and will create tunnels to crawl through until they reach a source of food (your property). To rid your property of termites, a pest control professional from Viking Pest will identify where the termites originated from and target the surrounding landscape to prevent further infestations.

-The most trusted termiticide available in a convenient ready-to-use foam.-Ideally formulated to treat voids where termites and carpenter ants harbor and enter.-Can also be applied in trees and landscapes where carpenter ants form colonies. The ability to use Termidor Foam indoors and outside, on- and off-structure, with no mixing or other equipment required, makes Termidor Foam stand out as an excellent option for control of termites and carpenter ants.-Allows you to easily treat problem areas even within walls where other products cannot reach.-Termidor Foam expands at a rate of 30:1 and forms thicker, stronger cell walls that last much longer and is much less likely to run than the competitors.

Many of us come into contact with harmful chemicals on a daily basis without even realizing it. One of those chemicals is a pesticide called Firponil. According to the National Pesticide Information Center at Oregon State University, Fipronil is an insecticide used to control many common insect pests including ants, termites, beetles, cockroaches, fleas, and ticks, among other insects. Often, it is used at construction sites in heavy quantities to treat the soil where housing or other buildings will be constructed. It was first allowed in the United States in 1996. It comes in a variety of forms, one of the most common being labeled as Terminol, and works by disrupting the normal function of the central nervous system in insects.

Liquid Chemical Barriers for subterranean termite control work by killing or repelling termites before they enter the structure. The termites are killed before they enter the structure and/or killed upon leaving the structure to return to their colony. In some cases, when using a repellent chemical such as Talstar Professional, the termites will avoid the chemical and stay away from it. If termites are present inside the structure and a repellent chemical is used, the termites will "back up" inside the walls to avoid it. In some cases they will attempt to organize a secondary colony to continue living inside the structure or they will attempt to find a new way out of the structure. This is very seldom successful for the "blind" subterranean termite workers. Usually, in the absence of moisture, they are simply trapped inside the wall, cannot organize a new colony and eventually dehydrate (dry up) and die. It is common in homes that have had chemical treatments performed to find thousands of dead termites in walls where the termites were trapped and could not get out and simply died due to lack of moisture.

Repellent termite insecticides tend to repel termites away from structures. Talstar Professional, Prelude Termiticide / Insecticide andBifen are examples of repellent chemicals. The repellency factor of these liquid termite chemicals have specific uses - primarily in preconstruction treatments (before the structure is built) and in areas where fast control of subterranean termites is desired.

  • Hammer Drill. You can rent hammer drills from any tool rental center. The standard drill bit is a carbide coated tip drill - standard size is 1/2" wide by 18" long. You may also want to rent a ground fault interrupter (GFI). The GFI is a small box that the drill plugs into. The GFI then plugs into any 110V wall plug. GFI's are especially useful when drilling inside slab foundations near plumbing lines. If the drill bit contacts any metal in the slab, it will cut off electricity to the drill and save the drill bit , not to mention plumbing lines, post tension cables, rebar, etc. Make sure that you test the GFI prior to use by touching the tip of the drill to any grounded metal object, such as water lines under a sink, etc..2 gallon bucket. A 2 gallon bucket is used to mix the termiticide so that it can be applied 1-2 gallons at a time into the drill holes. Many pest companies use this technique in the winter time when their spray rigs are frozen up ! We find it is useful in many situations and perfect for the do it yourselfer.

  • Long Plastic Funnel. A long plastic funnel (1.5 - 2.0 feet) is perfect for inserting into drill holes (1/2" or larger) and dispersing the termiticide below porches, patios, garages, slab foundations, etc. The average rate of application in holes drilled is about 1 gallon of termiticide per hole (holes drilled every 12"). Mix any termiticide in a 2-5 gallon bucket and pour it through the funnel. This technique is useful for treating concrete areas where the soil is tightly compacted against the bottom of the slab and the termiticide has to "drip" down into the soil.

  • Rubber gloves and goggles and appropriate clothing. For safety reasons. The products that we sell are safe when used as directed, but be a little safety conscious. You don't want to end up like your termites !

  • Trebor Triple Seal plugs. For plugging holes that you drill into the cement foundation. We do not recommend to use paper towels as this is against the label on most pesticides.

  • Cement. A small amount of cement or sand mix mixed in a small bowl with water works perfect for patching holes drilled in cement etc. Be sure to plug the hole with the Trebor plug first.

Foaming Inside Wall Plumbing Penetrations And Plumbing Voids (Slab Foundations):Most termiticide labels have specific instructions on how to perform wall foaming. To foam a wall using a liquid Termiticide, the termiticide has to be mixed with a foaming agent to make it foam. It usually will not foam on its own. Mix the normal amount of termiticide and then add in 2-4 oz of foaming agent such as ProFoam Platinum Concentrate. The amount of foaming agent depends on the hardness of the water, so experiment to find that perfect ratio to get a shaving cream consistency foam. All foams have to be applied with a special foam applicator such as the Solo Wall Foamer. 041b061a72
